Delete your Pronuntia account

Pronuntia is a British English pronunciation app published by Pronuntia Apps. You can delete your account and its data at any time, from inside the app or by asking us here.

Fastest

Option 1: in the app

Open Pronuntia and sign in.
On the Home screen, tap the settings (gear) icon.
Tap Delete my account and confirm.

Your account is deleted immediately.

No app needed

Option 2: ask us

Email us from the address you signed up with, with the subject "Delete my account". We'll delete your account and confirm by email within 30 days (usually much sooner).

Or write to pronuntia.dev@gmail.com. We may ask you to confirm the request from your account's email address, so that nobody else can delete your account.

What happens to your data

What gets deleted

Your account: your email address and sign-in details.
Your synced learning progress: completed sounds and lessons, XP, the days you practised, your recent quiz answers and your chosen learning goal.

Progress stored only on your phone is removed when you uninstall the app.

What we may keep, and for how long

Purchase records. If you bought a subscription, records of that transaction are kept by Google Play or the App Store and by our subscription service (RevenueCat), where needed for tax, accounting, refunds and fraud prevention, for as long as the law requires.
Backups. Deleted data can remain in our database provider's encrypted backups for up to 30 days, until those backups are overwritten.

Your subscription

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription, because billing is handled by Google Play or the App Store, not by us. Please cancel it first in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions) or on iPhone in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
